Schoolmaster

This is a Schoolmaster. Schoolmasters are a type of fish called Snappers. Snappers usually hang out near the reef during the day, but swim away from the reef at night to hunt. As their name suggests, Schoolmasters often spend the day in large schools near the reef.

This Schoolmaster was pretty big, about 2 feet long.
